| Dr. John Mamoun came up with the idea to start the Sheet Music Archive back in 2000. He enlisted the aid of his dear sister Nadia and, with her tireless assistance, proceeded to scan thousands of pages of public domain sheet music to form the original web site. |

Dr. John is assisted by his brother Mo, who programmed and developed the site, and who continues
to develop and maintain it diligently through today. Mo is the President of
The Sheet Music Archive and is the company's day to day executive manager.
Mo is a musician and composer himself, as well as being our technology director, overseeing an international staff of music enthusiasts which gathers and processes public domain sheet music from around the world every day. He also oversees our customer service team which takes care of SMA member support.
